**Meet at Audubon EEC, 1401 Hope Street, Bristol***

Come join RI Families in Nature and the Warren Land Conservation Trust (WLCT) for a family walk at Jacob’s Point in Warren on June 3rd.  We will meet at RI Audubon Society’s Enviromental Education Center (EEC) at 10:30.  The walk proceeds to the East Bay Bike Path (EBBP) and then down a WLCT trail to the beach along the Warren River.  After crossing a couple of small steams, we are back on the EBBP and on our way back to the EEC (worth a post hike visit).  Information will be provided on the WLCT’s new Purple Martin Array and its successful Osprey platform.  The total hike is a little more than a mile and should take about an hour to complete.

Also for this hike, an exciting opportunity!

You can earn 5,000 points through the Zoo’s Nature Swap. Participants in the program bring in natural “found” items to collect points for swapping with items in their collection. Find out more information here.

Nature Play Grant:

For the third year in a row, the Roger Williams Park Zoo was one of the recipients of a Nature Play grant, which was developed by the Children & Nature Network (C&NN) and the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) through a special gift from the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund. This grant allows us to offer free nature based play experiences in various parks, playgrounds, preserves, and other properties that are off zoo grounds–but easy to get to! If transportation support is needed, please contact Samantha Polon at (401) 785-3510 x353 for information about FREE RIPTA bus passes.

Each FNPD is also a Nature Swap “Quest” and allows participants to earn 5,000 bonus points in their accounts. Participants in the program bring in natural “found” items to collect points for swapping with items in their collection. To earn 5,000 points for this quest, bring a photo, drawing or natural item from your hike into the Nature Swap, located in Roger Williams Park Zoo’s Hasbro’s our Big Backyard, which is open 10-2, every day.
